Abyssal Self is a project that explores ways of “being” and lost futures due to deep-sea mining.
Abyssal Self is a work that addresses the ecological urgency of deep-sea mining through an immersive and relational experience. The project was presented on May 28, 2026, at Visual Arena during the final event of Narrative XR Lab 2026: “Empathy Through Immersive Storytelling: Can Immersive Experiences Drive Us to Act?”, in collaboration with Greenpeace Sverige.
Inventing the Enemy is a workshop that explores, through a performative perspective, the dynamics of online radicalization and the mechanisms of creating “the enemy.”
The work addresses the dark side of online communities, translating the aesthetics of anonymous forums and the processes of polarization into a performative and collaborative experience. The workshop was presented on April 29, 2026, at the Ateljé of the Malmö Stadsteater, as a research and creative writing session aimed at investigating empathy as a tool to navigate contemporary social phenomena, in collaboration with the Malmö Theatre Academy / Lund University.
How to Build an Enemy is a performance lecture that analyzes the mechanisms of digital manipulation and the collective hauntological specters of the online community “4chan.”
The work explores the dark side of anonymity and the construction of events, false myths, and conspiracies that give body to the figure of “the enemy.” The project was presented on April 27, 2026, at the Black Room of the Inter Arts Center (IAC) in Malmö, as a public presentation of an interdisciplinary, anthropological, and netnographic artistic research, in collaboration with the Inter Arts Center, the Malmö Theatre Academy / Lund University.
Sediments, an Exploded Archive is a workshop based on the research project Sediments, a performative and participatory work by the artistic duo UCCI UCCI that intertwines Dante’s Divine Comedy with the landscapes of coal extraction in Europe.
Through a performance lecture and a collective laboratory, the experience transforms the project’s archive, composed of videos, sounds, and testimonies, into a living, porous body, inviting participants to question how we can preserve what is disappearing and how industrial memory can become gesture, narrative, and shared presence. The event, held at Glokala Folkhögskolan as part of the Malmö Community Biennal, culminates in the collaborative board game “EXTRACTION DIAGRAM”, in which the archive takes on a collective form, becoming a map of real and imaginary landscapes.
